I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will not forgive.

Set-Backs Are Only Temporary
It's important not to dwell on the bad times too long.
Most setbacks are only temporary,
so let go of your old anxieties so they don't hold you back

You DECIDE
If you do not like yourself or cannot accept yourself,
how do you expect others to?
Often times, we give away our power
by letting others dictate how we should feel.
Be determined to keep your power.
You DECIDE.

Expect Positive Things to Happen:
You experience what you think about most. Therefore, forward thinking with positive expectations is what you will get or backward thinking with negative expectations is what you will get. You chose.
Tap into your emotions. Fire yourself up the way athletes do. With enthusiasm, chant to yourself out loud. You can do it! You can do it! You can do it! This technique may take you outside of your comfort zone, but its fun once you get started. Granted, if you do this around family and friends I can guarantee a few strange looks. On the other hand, talk them into participating with you.

Giving Thanks
You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.

Wishing for a Better World
If we wish for more intangible things rather than wishing for tanglibles then the world would be a better place to live in. Our wishes for others will in a way contribute to the betterment of the entire mankind. When we wish for others often there is no self-interest attached to it. It is solely a selfless act and the only thing that matters is to see the other person happy and satisfied. By wishing for others we actually appreciate their endeavors and wish for the endeavors to be successful. If instead of wishing for more wealth and money, we wish for better relations among humans, for love and peace then our world will definitely get rid of a lot of problems. So lets start wishing for a better world!

Stop Putting Yourself Down
You can’t develop high self-esteem if you repeat negative phrases about yourself and your abilities. Whether speaking about your appearances, your career, your relationships, your financial situation, or any other aspects of your life, avoid self-deprecating comments. Start noticing what kind of chatter your mind ‘Golum’ (that ugly creature that lurks in the dark to create trouble for you) is telling you. Refuse to accept this negative self-talk anymore. Just imagine the words that ‘Golum’ tells you written on a white board- visualize getting an eraser and remove them from the white board every time that these thoughts come to your mind.

Personal empowerment comes within yourself. It results in self-reliance which embodies assuming responsibility, making your own decisions, desiring to be informed/understand and knowing where you are heading. It's the coming to a realization that something must change.

2. Learn - Learn one new thing a month. It can even be as small as a new word. All you need to do is broaden your mind with new information or activities.
3. Change - Break out of your everyday habits. Change the route you take to work or your personal appearance. Any kind of change can break a deep set lethargy.
4. Participate - Become active in events that inspire you. It can be as simple as taking a college course or joining the local softball team. Just get yourself out there.
5. Create - Do something creative in whatever interests you. The intrinsic rewards are going to do more to motivate you than anything thing else. This also gets the brain active and thinking.
These simple actions are going to go along way to getting you motivated and ready to take on the world. Any lethargy that you have been feeling is going to be wiped out and the brain is going to be retrained. Start with one action verb at a time until all five have been thoroughly ensconced in your brain.

Start Fresh
Today is a new day. The past doesn't matter except to learn the important lesson. Look forward. Focus on the future and what you will achieve.
The most boring word in any language is "I".
It's wonderful to be self-confident and self-sufficient, however, it's not all about you. There is nothing more monotonous than hearing someone talk about themselves and their accomplishments endlessly. Being self-centered is not the same as having self-confidence.

Daily Affirmation: Self Abuse Has No Place In My Life
Mistakes happen. Mortal life is a training ground and if we got everything right the first time there probably would be no need to be here. Browbeating ourselves for errors won't help us learn, experience will. So apologize to yourself, kiss and make up. Affirm this daily affirmation. A lot of tension will be relieved and mistakes will become less frequent.
Life is...
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

Spread Love Everywhere
Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor… Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.

Achieve By Worrying
Worry has not served any purpose to this date for anyone. Whatever has to happen will happen, there is nothing you will achieve by worrying about it. In fact what you worry about will not even happen most of the times. So why waste energy dwelling on worries? You are unconsciously creating a lot of negative energy inside you which is harmful to your whole being. Just plan practically and leave the rest to life.

Non-Judgement
Becoming more neutral is the first step toward non-judgment. Eventually, you begin to see the deeper aspects of life and people that are really wonderful, some might even say divine. Instead of quickly identifying people's faults and seeing them through that lens, you begin to lead with love. Not only do the people around you start to look better, but your entire spirit is enhanced by that generous, life-giving quality.

The World is Following YOU
One day you might see yourself walking alone on a new path.
No one seems in sight. No one seems to have walked it earlier.

Go on. Reach your dreams.
The reason why you do not see anyone is because,
the world is following you.

Hope and Love
I understand that even in the most challenging circumstances, hope and love lives there and good comes out of it. I don’t always see it right away, but I have faith and trust it’s there.
Benefits of Cultivating Kindness and Generosity
There is a growing body of research on the benefits of cultivating kindness and generosity. A focus on generosity has been shown to increase levels of happiness and well-being. In one study by Stanford University psychologist Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky, subjects were asked to carry out 5 intentional acts of kindness per week over a 6 week period. The results showed that compared to a control group, performing acts of kindness and generosity significantly increased reported levels of happiness and positive mood. With those who performed all the weekly acts in one day reaping the biggest gains over the course of the study.
You're Ashamed
If you’re ashamed of how you’re feeling, you shouldn’t be. Many people find themselves in the same predicament. The only thing that should embarrass you is if you intentionally decide to stay in that rut. Do yourself a big favor and open up to someone you trust.
Whether that’s a parent, spouse, or best friend, tell them that you’re ready to make a change in your life and they’ll be able support you throughout your journey. They’ll encourage you on the good days and cry with you on the bad days. Most importantly, they’ll be there to support you throughout it all. It’s just what you need to achieve great success.

Tomorrow
He was going to be all that a mortal
could be - tomorrow.
No one could be kinder and braver
than he would be - tomorrow.
A friend who was troubled and weary
would be glad for a lift
On him he would call and see what
he could do - tomorrow
Each morning he stacked up the
letters he would write - tomorrow.
And thought of the folks he would fill
with delight - tomorrow.
More time I will have to give others,
he would say - tomorrow.
The greatest of workers this man would
have been - tomorrow.
But the fact is he died and faded from view
And all that he left here when he was
through he intended to do - tomorrow.

Selflessness
In a world where many people don’t have the time or the interest in others, selflessness is a quality that seems to be less and less common. People can be selfless in the time they give, the ability to listen, their level of patience and the love that they give. Those who are giving and generous in nature have the power to make others feel loved, appreciated and special. While those who are self-absorbed tend to do the exact opposite.

The easy way to overcome any negative trait or habit is to work with virtues. In order to overcome negative tendencies the usual tendency is to make effort to remove them. But it is found that the more we think about them even if it is to remove them, we find ourselves becoming more aware of them. This makes the influence of our negativity stronger.
The solution lies in making effort of working with virtues. For example, instead of saying we will not work with anger we will now practice working with our inherent peace. For this we need to make it a habit to work with peace so that it emerges naturally even in difficult situations.

A person can make you feel low.

Which way you want to go.

Life Is A Gift
To believe is to know we are not alone, That life is a gift and this is our time to cherish it. To believe is to know that wonderful surprises are just waiting to happen, And all our hopes and dreams are within reach.
Worthless
Do you ever feel worthless, unworthy, or not good enough? Do you look at yourself and make excuses for why you can’t be, do, or have what you want? Seeing yourself as unworthy will keep your desires at bay.
Get in touch with your inherent self-worth. The wisdom of the universe considers you so worthy that it gave you existence. If it didn’t you wouldn’t be here. Learn to be your own greatest fan and supporter.
If you don’t value yourself, other people won’t do it for you.
Change
Begin to value yourself and feel your self-worth by becoming your own greatest fan and supporter. Every time you accomplish something, give yourself a pat on the back. Seriously, say- great job, I am very proud of myself. It doesn’t have to be a big accomplishment, it could be getting your car washed, everything you do is valuable, begin to learn to appreciate yourself.
Here’s another:
Use affirmations. If you don’t believe in them, consider changing that belief and then put them to work for you. Look at yourself in the mirror; take a minute to really look. Then make eye contact and tell yourself:
•I believe in myself,
•I am inherently valuable and worth,
•The universe applauds my life.
Repeat 5 times.

Attitude Is A Mindset
It's how we view and respond to the world. It determines how we express or protect ourselves. It's what makes us act the way we do. And our attitude can make the difference in our lives.
It can be the fine line between success and failure. Or misery and happiness. The key lies in what kind of attitude we have.
To make things simple, we'll talk of two kinds:
The good versus the bad attitude.
A good attitude is inspirational.
These motivational words and motivational phrases tell us that it brings about success and happiness.
And a bad attitude produces failure and misery.

Negative Beliefs Does Take Time
Dropping your negative beliefs does take time, especially considering many of us have been conditioned to accept these negative beliefs as fact. Simply accept where you are currently and strive to improve. The important thing action. Read inspiring literature. Surround yourself with encouraging individuals. With time your negative beliefs will slowly suffocate within the presence of empowering beliefs.

Waste Land
"A joy to watch despite the abject poverty it contains, "Waste Land" transcends the artist-doc format and has a broad emotional appeal that should ensure a warm reaction from theatrical audiences. Easily as concerned with social and environmental issues as it is with the fine-art career that sets it in motion, the movie never focuses on big issues at the expense of the individuals it encounters."

Abandoning malicious speech, he abstains from malicious speech; he does not repeat elsewhere what he has heard here in order to divide [those people] from these, nor does he repeat to these people what he has heard elsewhere to divide [these people] from those; thus he is one who reunites those who are divided, a promoter of friendships, who enjoy concord, rejoices in concord, delights in concord, a speaker of words that promote concord.
Abandoning harsh speech, he abstains from harsh speech; he speaks such words as are gentle, pleasing to the ear, and loveable, as go to the heart, are courteous, desired by many and agreeable to many.
Abandoning idle chatter, he abstains from idle chatter; he speaks at the right time, speaks what is fact, speaks on what is good, speaks on the Dhamma (Buddha's teachings) and the Discipline (moral guidelines); at the right time he speaks such words as are worth recording, reasonable, moderate, and beneficial."

Tiny Moments
Life is a race made up of many tiny moment steps. If you determine to plant each step on the Rock, He will direct the moments of your life. Go on, ask Him to forgive all the mis-steps and then leave them, where He puts them, in the sea of forgetfulness. Go forward with fervor, endeavouring to make the best of each moment today.
Problems
Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Feeling sorry for yourself will not improve your situation any. Build your self-confidence. There is a solution to every problem and it is better to deal with situations head on instead of letting them fester and get out of control. However, if the problem is something you cannot deal with then leave it be and move on. Sometimes some problems have a working themselves out.
