Emotion Doesn't Mean Our Character

Just because we are experiencing a certain uncomfortable emotion doesn’t mean our character, our soul, has been downgraded. It just means for that moment, in that small space of time, we feel a certain way about ourselves. When we allow ourselves to be human and give our spirit the grace and mercy it deserves, we are in a better position to reframe self-limiting thoughts and keep them from manifesting to the point they begin to define who we are.

Negative vs. Positive

We take so much for granted, and tend to focus on the negative vs. the positive, which is a human tendency that must constantly be battled. One way to accomplish this is before you start your day, count all of your blessings, and count none of your "troubles." What are you thankful for? An attitude of gratitude lifts the spirit to more consistent inspiration.

Non-Judgement

Becoming more neutral is the first step toward non-judgment. Eventually, you begin to see the deeper aspects of life and people that are really wonderful, some might even say divine. Instead of quickly identifying people's faults and seeing them through that lens, you begin to lead with love. Not only do the people around you start to look better, but your entire spirit is enhanced by that generous, life-giving quality.

We are here as spirits to integrate a base of experience and that includes light and dark, failure and success, trial and error, courage, and love. But remember, those are only labels that you and I place upon our journeys as we move forward. The parts of this life you will remember eternally are how you found beauty in the darkness, and how you found your part in the world, and how you shared with others. That is the piece I came to do, you came to do, and I tell you now is the time.

Never be afraid to speak up if you find yourself in the spotlight. Bless the darkness for the opportunity. Experience, think, feel, and express yourself from the place of truth. The universe does not define truth as objectionable, dramatic or dangerous.

Loyal to Yourself

It is said that the mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy. At every moment we have the opportunity to choose our company: thoughts which bring oxygen to the spirit or those who bring pain. If I am loyal to myself, I will continually strive to go back to my inner core of positivity. Again and again. I will be patient and loving, and increasingly my mind will reside in this positive inner truth. When I am able to be loving and loyal to myself, I can then help others in this same unconditional manner.

Spiritual Intelligence

When we are faced with pressures, deadlines and troubles we must resist the urge to worry and flit from one thing to another, or to get irritated or blame others, which would just drain our energy. Instead we should try to create a loving attitude towards ourselves and our situation as this will energize our spirit. A kind compassionate approach to life helps the mind to stay clear and focused and takes it to a higher level of spiritual intelligence.

Guidance of the Spirit

Life is too complicated and there is too much at stake to even think about trying to handle it all without the guidance of the Spirit.
