Have and Are

Everything you could want and could be, you already have and are.

Thoughts, Words, Actions

Be extra conscious of your thoughts, words, and actions. In everything you do, always ask yourself, "Are these thoughts, words, and actions in accordance to the universal principles and values?" If not, then you need to change it. The path to developing integrity is not easy and you can progress only by taking baby steps- one step at a time. What is important is your commitment to change; to become a better person than you are today.

Pay Attention

Inner Fire

In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit?

Albert Schweitzer

Direction of Your Dreams

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler; solitude will not be solitude, poverty will not be poverty, nor weakness.

Deep Healing

The deepest wounds we all carry are locked in our subconscious (out of our awareness). Deep memories and subtle impressions, from unfinished experience, rooted in the past. The pain from those wounds comes to revisit, to block and paralyse us in the moment called now. We all know it comes without warning - "Why am I feeling this way, I didn't mean to do that, I don't know what made me say that." Healing does not mean finding and treating every single inner scar which send it message to haunt us. It means going even deeper, past those wounds, beyond those distant memories and recording of unfinished business, to the core of our self, to the heart of our spirit, where we find the light and warmth of our own core qualities of love and peace. They are eternally present within us they are what we need to heal all our inner wounds. That's why this kind of deep healing is called spirituality and not therapy.

Eye of the Beholder

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Each moment presents an opportunity to see beauty. If you choose to see the beauty in your contrasting experiences, the contrast lessens. If you choose to focus on the beauty of an amazing situation, the experience is elevated. By choosing to see the beauty in every moment, where you once flew, you can now soar.

True nobility is not about being better than someone else, it's about being
better than you used to be... take small steps, but have large goals...
remember that what matters is not always the result, but the intention...
love all of you - even the imperfect parts as they are what makes you
the magnificent work-in-progress that you are.

Dr. Wayne Dyer

When you learn to embrace your self with a sense of appreciation and affection, you begin to glimpse the goodness and light that is in you and gradually you will realize that you are worthy of respect from yourself. When you recognize your limits, but still embrace your life with affection and graciousness, the sense of inner dignity begins to grow. You become freer and less dependent on the affirmation of outer voices and less troubled by the negativity of others.
Our wishes are mostly about our personal achievements
– earning more money, rising to fame, better health,
winning love of someone very special or for a happy relationship.
But sometimes we also wish for others such are our parents or children,
friends or even someone we have never met.
These are the selfless wishes where we wish for others'
happiness and achievements.
Knowing that they are happy or have achieved
what we had wished for them makes us happier too.
This is perhaps the greatest motivation for wishing for others.

Positive Messages

Everybody needs positive messages, and no living creature possessing a personality can escape this fact any more than a sentient being living in a human body can deny that body's need for physical food.

Discover That Life

When you spend less time running away from problems and trying to rid yourself of them—— and more time accepting problems as an inevitable natural even important part of life——you will soon discover that life can be less of a battle.

May gladness wash away every disappointment, may joy dissolve every sorrow, and may love ease every pain. May every wound bring wisdom, and may every trial bring triumph and with each passing day, may you live more abundantly than the day before.

The Only Lasting Thing You Can Create

The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think. The way they see themselves. The way they see the world. You can change the way people live their lives. That's the only lasting thing you can create.

Chuck Palahniuk

Power to Create

Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives.

Anthony Robbins

Negative vs. Positive

We take so much for granted, and tend to focus on the negative vs. the positive, which is a human tendency that must constantly be battled. One way to accomplish this is before you start your day, count all of your blessings, and count none of your "troubles." What are you thankful for? An attitude of gratitude lifts the spirit to more consistent inspiration.

Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at it destination full of hope.
Maintaining good relationships with other people is something everyone struggles with. The nature of the human mind is that there seem innumerable factors that make it difficult to get on with other people. If you find yourself with many problematic relationships don't despair, but, try to work through difficulties and learn the art of developing genuine friendships.

Playing increases our creativity. And creativity is essential to our work and our relationships.
Joy is a similar energy to gratitude. They are both energies that enhance your immune system,
improve your relationships and attract more good into every area of your life. Allow yourself to
play. Revel in joy. Soak it in. Celebrate it!

You Decide Your Problems

The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your parents, the people in your life, or on your job. You realize that you control your own destiny.

We Are Beautiful

Our weakness and failure does not define us.
Our definition comes from the center of our very being.
We are precious.
We are beautiful.
And no one can take that away from you.

Smile Brings Inspiration

A smile brings inspiration to the discouraged, cheer to the sad, and warmth to the troubled. It creates goodwill and a feeling of friendship. A smile only takes a moment, but its memory can last forever. So share some smiles. Give someone a beautiful day with a smile.

Your Children Think

Live so that when your children think of fairness, caring and integrity, they think of you.

Idea of Self-Respect

Having respect for others is difficult if you have no respect for yourself. The idea of self-respect is very closely related to self-confidence, but respect is more about what you do whereas confidence is about how you feel. The two go hand-in-hand. This article, however, will focus on how you can demonstrate respect for yourself. Odds are, when you do these things, you'll find your confidence increases as well.

Unconditional Love

When you provide unconditional love to others, you are not dependant on others for happiness, but rather you derive your happiness from within. Your energy radiates to those around you and the world gives back to you in abundance.

Be the Change YOU Wish to See in the World

The words "be the change you wish to see in the world" are easy to say, but the danger behind the simplicity of those words is that changing ourselves is not an easy task. But there’s a good reason why change starts with us. Our body is our temple. If we neglect it, we won’t have anywhere to go for shelter. We won’t have an instrument to spread our positive energies.

Turning Disappointment into Joy

Reason for Existing

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.

Today is Important

What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever, but I shall hold something which I have traded for it. It may be no more than a memory, but if it is a worthy one I shall not regret the price. I want it to be gain not loss, good not bad, success not failure.

The Journey of Change and Transformation

Find inspiration to effect personal growth and positive change in your life.

All the interests of my reason, speculative as well as practical, combine in the three following questions:

1. What can I know?
2. What ought I to do?
3. What may I hope?

Immanuel Kant

Rear View Mirror

If you spend time looking in your rear view mirror at the bad memories you’re dragging behind you, you’re taking your eyes off the road ahead, and that’’s an invitation to a crash, or not to be able to enjoy the things right in front of you, or progressing ahead in your own life. Stop examining your hurt, turning it over and over again in your mind. Whenever you find yourself doing that, STOP immediately, and start thinking about something positive, like your goals or plans for the future.

Perfect Love

Perfect love is rare indeed - for to be a lover will require that you continually have the subtlety of the very wise, the flexibility of the child, the sensitivity of the artist, the understanding of the philosopher, the acceptance of the saint, the tolerance of the scholar and the fortitude of the certain.

Beware of Hypocrites and Jealous People

Never bad mouth them. You are above pettiness.
Petty gossip is someone who has fallen of the social ladder.
Whenever their names come up in conversation,
either say something nice or say nothing at all.
I think these people need your prayers.
Most of them don’t even know they have a problem.
They actually think YOU are the problem.

A Lesson In Life

During my second year of nursing school our professor gave us a quiz. I breezed through the questions until I read the last one:

"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"

Surely this was a joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank.

Before the class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our grade. "Absolutely," the professor said. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

Listen Not to What He Says

The reality of the other person is not in what he reveals to you, but in what he cannot reveal to you. Therefore, if you would understand him, listen not to what he says but rather what he does not say.

Scientific Proof Gratitude Works

How does the practice of intentional gratitude affect our physical well-being? Well, a study done by psychologist Glen Affleck indicates that heart patients “who feel appreciative of life” after a heart attack have a reduced risk for subsequent attacks. And a study conducted at the Duke University Medical Center found that patients with significant arterial blockage were substantially less likely to say they count their blessings, and were encouraged to include the practice as a coping strategy.

Studies show that even our life span is positively affected by the practice to gratitude, and negatively affected by negative emotions…particularly depression and pessimism. A 35 year longitudinal study of male Harvard students found significantly less disease at midlife in the optimists than from their pessimistic counterparts. And a study at the Mayo Clinic found that those who scored high on optimism had a 50% lower risk of premature death than those who scored as being more pessimistic.

Ourselves and Society

If we face our unpleasant feelings with care, affection, and nonviolence,
we can transform them into a kind of energy that is healthy and has
the capacity to nourish us. By the work of mindful observation,
our unpleasant feelings can illuminate so much for us, offering us
insight and understanding into ourselves and society.

Tomorrow Never Comes, So Live in Today

Gravity is not responsible for people to fall in love. It just happens. And when it does happen, don't wait for the right time to express, because right time is when your heart beats faster. If you love someone.. don't wait for tomorrow, or for the other person to make the move. Agreed 'Tomorrow never dies', but also remember 'Tomorrow never comes, so live in today.'

The End of the World

Failure is seldom the end of the world. It’s a part of the journey, a part of the learning curve. The problem is just that if you have a scarcity mentality then every failure or potential failure may seem as the sky falling. This can hold you back from performing well. Or from taking action at all. The key to overcome this is to develop an abundance mentality that tells you that there are always more opportunities. This allows you to not take the setbacks too seriously.

Friends Can Stop Bullying

Instead of thinking about what you're missing,
try thinking about what you have that everyone else is missing.
Just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do.

How Life Coaches Help

A life coach will take you by the hand and walk you through your problems and issues and help you understand why you have not achieved your goals and what you must work on within yourself to come out ahead. They teach you that you are important and do matter and also to understand your fears and other limits you place on yourself.

Life coaches will give you strategies to use in real life instances and this can help because they are working from their own experiences about life and reaching goals and not relying on some textbook solution to your problems.

When you are choosing a life coach make sure that they are reputable and have many years of experience. You may also want to check their references and talk to anyone who has dealt with them or used their services.

You may want to work with a life coach to help you achieve your goals and dreams in life. Because they can help you to understand problems and give you strategies to use to work through them and help you to see things in an objective way, a life coach may be able to help you.
