Different People

When you learn about different people, you can respect each other more and you can not be fearful. You think they are just so different and their lives are so different from ours. And that’s not true.

A Prayer for Healing

When someone is in need of healing, whether you know them well or not at all, visualize them while saying the following prayer.

I send you love and light, my friend, from my heart to yours—to love you, to protect you, to guide you, to heal you, to cherish you, to comfort you. Bless you, my friend. You are beautiful and you are loved.

Know that the loving energy you transmit may ease the recipient’s pain, comfort their soul, and bolster their strength and resolve.

The beauty of this prayer is that it also is perfect for resolving hurt, anger and resentment. After all, you cannot release a hurt until you send it love. By directing this prayer to the person you feel ill will toward, you break the hold that person has over you by bathing them in love and asking that the conflict be resolved for your higher good as well as theirs.

Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you. They're supposed to help you discover who you are.

Who We Are

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked. "Who would like this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you - but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked. "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?" He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not in what we do or who we know, but by ...WHO WE ARE.

Feelings Toward Themselves

It's surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you're not comfortable within yourself, you can't be comfortable with others.

Sydney J. Harris

Encourage Transformation

To share virtues along with knowledge is to encourage transformation in others. When we have to give a suggestion/advise to someone, we tend to share a lot of points of knowledge in order to make them understand. We try to prove logically why they have to change.

Although the reasoning is right most of the time, the others don't seem to change either because they don't understand or because they don't want to understand. When we want to bring transformation in others we need to make sure to share our own virtues along with the points of knowledge. To share virtues means to give them an experience of our love, peace, good wishes etc. When they experience our virtues, they'll be willing to bring about change quickly.

Intuition is the collected mass of information and knowledge that one has accumulated over the course of one's life coming together in one single ordered thought that relates directly to the input of the moment.

We are here as spirits to integrate a base of experience and that includes light and dark, failure and success, trial and error, courage, and love. But remember, those are only labels that you and I place upon our journeys as we move forward. The parts of this life you will remember eternally are how you found beauty in the darkness, and how you found your part in the world, and how you shared with others. That is the piece I came to do, you came to do, and I tell you now is the time.

Never be afraid to speak up if you find yourself in the spotlight. Bless the darkness for the opportunity. Experience, think, feel, and express yourself from the place of truth. The universe does not define truth as objectionable, dramatic or dangerous.
Love opens the doorway to your own growth and aliveness. Love operates in the present, and by focusing upon it in the present, you send it into the future and release it to the past. By taking a moment to appreciate everyone you see and simply send them a feeling of love you will change your life and raise your vibration. Being committed to the idea of love will bring it to you.

Each drum has its own unique voice and vibration
The first stroke on the drum births all beings into existence
It is the sound of our mother
You have powers you never dreamed of. You can do things you never thought you could do. There are no limitations in what you can do.. Except the limitations of your own mind.
Adversity comes to each of us in time. Expecting rather than dreading this adversity can make challenging periods seem less daunting and will allow you to accept that you possess the strength to conquer each obstacle as you have conquered obstacles in your past.

Never Give Up

The process of human improvement is not like instant coffee, or a miracle pill. There are ups, there are downs, and there are times you wonder if you are any better than when you started. Yet bear in mind that anything we did that ever brought us a feeling of joy and satisfaction, only came because we committed to it and saw it through to the end.
Each of us is a star.
Sometimes situations, take our shine away.
Clouds set in and we can't see our own light……
Sometimes we shine with the rest……
Sometimes we twinkle alone……
But we have to realize,
that we sometimes are the only signal for
Someone in times of darkness..
So take the time and realize your worth
and fight for things that are important..
Even if the cost is great
and you might hurt someone you love……
your true feelings have to be known……
I have learned that we are only here one time on earth.
We are not lucky enough to have the chance to live our life all over,
but we are ended blessed,
that there will still be a tomorrow
and that is our chance to make a difference.

I wish you the best...

Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.
Self-confidence and awareness are important when interacting with new people both in social and professional situations. If you do not have strong self awareness you will miss out on many great connections. Your reactions to unfavorable events are connected to your own personal view of how these events will negatively or positively affect your life. You must take a positive proactive approach to changing the things in your life that you do not desire to see continued. Rather than speaking negatively over them, choose instead to take action that will lead to your desired result, all while believing that you will indeed be able to successfully reach your goal
Think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best-you deserve nothing less.

We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different, and yet the same.

Anne Frank

Strongly and Cheerfully

Every heart that has beat strongly and cheerfully has left a hopeful impulse behind it in the world, and bettered the tradition of mankind.

Robert Louis Stevenson

Identify a Time and Place

Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives.

Tolerance in Strength

Being kind is 10,000 times more important than being right. That is a hard lesson to learn. When we feel that we are a pawn in a game of injustice, we want to attack. But consider the consequences: pressure (being right) creates more resistance. Tolerance, patience, and understanding (being kind) create reconciliation and acceptance. That is the nature of things: the nature of a university, the nature of a family, the nature of a marriage. The sooner we learn that, the sooner we will be at peace.

Allen Johnson, Ph. D.

Daily Life

Live your daily life in a way that you never lose yourself. When you are carried away with your worries, fears, cravings, anger, and desire, you run away from yourself and you lose yourself. The practice is always to go back to oneself.

Thich Nhat Hanh

Thoughts

If we understood the power of our thoughts,
we would guard them more closely.
If we understood the awesome power of our words,
we would prefer silence to almost anything negative.
In our thoughts and words we create
our own weaknesses and our own strengths.
Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts.
We can always replace negative with positive.

People Must Learn to Hate

I never lost hope that this great transformation would occur. Not only because of the great heroes I have already cited, but because of the courage of the ordinary men and women of my country. I always knew that deep down in every human heart, there is mercy and generosity. no one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite. Even in the grimmest times in prison, when my comrades and I were pushed to our limits, I would see a glimmer of humanity in one of the guards, perhaps for just a second, but it was enough to reassure me and keep me going. Man’s goodness is a flame that can be hidden but never extinguished.

Self-Empowerment

Being vulnerable doesn't have to be threatening. Just have the courage to be sincere, open and honest. This opens the door to deeper communication all around. It creates self-empowerment and the kind of connections with others we all want in life. Speaking from the heart frees us from the secrets that burden us. These secrets are what make us sick or fearful. Speaking truth helps you get clarity on your real heart directives.

Sara Paddison, The Hidden Power of the Heart

Appreciation and Affection

When you learn to embrace your self with a sense of appreciation and affection, you begin to glimpse the goodness and light that is in you and gradually you will realize that you are worthy of respect from yourself. When you recognize your limits, but still embrace your life with affection and graciousness, the sense of inner dignity begins to grow. You become freer and less dependent on the affirmation of outer voices and less troubled by the negativity of others.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.
Avoid draining your energy by focusing on the past and looking at mistakes that have already been made. Focus on the lesson learned and not on the mistake. What can you learn from the choice you made, whether it was a good choice or not?
Take self-responsibility. Stop blaming others for your unhappiness. Recognize the consequences of your choices.

Choose as a guide one whom you will admire more when you see him act than when you hear him speak.

- Seneca
As we think so is our world. Inspite of our best efforts if things don't turn out the way we expect them to, there is a tendency to get disheartened and we begin to have negative thoughts. These negative thoughts further create negative situations and we find that things get no better. Instead of beginning to change things and situations that are going wrong, you need to work at the seed, i.e your thoughts. You need to keep your thoughts positive under all circumstances, which will make your actions positive too and you slowly find things changing for the better.

Let the love within you see the world around you
and let the world within you see the love around you

- Amber Monaghan
Cheerfulness comes from a sense of well being and contentment. It is a high quality, but it does not always stay with us. Thoughts of envy, worry, anger and hatred enter the mind, and cheerfulness vanishes. To maintain a "smiling face" we need to focus our attention only on the good qualities around us. When we see bad qualities we retain the defects of others and it poisons our intellect. When we see good qualities then our thoughts will be pure, our action elevated bringing with them a sense of contentment and joy free from a poisonous atmosphere.

...though it was always clear,
That this was never meant to be,
If you happen to remember,
Stop and think of me...

Remember: In great joy never make promises to anyone and In great anger never answer anyone!

Too often, the thing you want most is the one thing you can't have. Desire leaves us heartbroken, it wears us out. Desire can wreck your life. But as tough as wanting something can be. The people who suffer the most, are those who don't know what they want

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles, you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower, or heart.

Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.

–William James
To be prepared for obstacles is to remain cheerful under all circumstances. Generally there is always a wish not to have to face any obstacles. When we begin something new we usually have a thought to have things going perfectly well. So when obstacles do come we are not prepared and we experience dissatisfaction and sorrow. Whenever we start something new we need to prepare our mind that we are sure to be faced with obstacles. Along with it we also need to understand that these obstacles actually teach us something new and it is only with such situations we can learn and progress. When we have such thoughts we will be able to remain cheerful under all circumstances.

Being negative has very little concrete advantages and is not a very empowering way to look at life.
Sometimes it is good to look at life from a different perspective and offer ourselves challenges. Challenges don’t have to be physical challenges of running a marathon or climbing a mountain. These questions test our inner attitude to life; it tests how much we hang onto our ego and how much we can be liberated from the confines of the mind. They are not necessarily easy to do, but, it is an interesting experience and offers a different perspective on life.

When others behave in ways that you are not happy with, drop the self-pity story, bring in compassion, and try to understand why they are behaving in certain ways toward you. There is always a reason. Often times, we’re so wrapped up in defending ourselves and making our own side be understood that we fail to truly see things from other people’s perspective, and we miss the chance to heal others and ourselves.
Let us realize that the privilege to work is a gift, that power to work is a blessing, that love of work is success.

“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” – Mother Teresa

You already have what it takes to make the world a better place. Making a difference to the world may seem like an enormous task, but it is in fact the collective effort of everyone to make small contributions with a lot of heart.

The size of the contribution is not what matters most. The key here is to have the heart to do it.
Focus more on your desire than on your doubt, and the dream will take care of itself. You may be surprised at how easily this happens. Your doubts are not as powerful as your desires, unless you make them so.

Love Without Condition

I love you as you are, as you seek to find your own special way to relate to the world, or the way you feel that is right for you. It is important that you are the person you want to be and not someone that I or others think you should be.

Make a Difference

Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.
Of all the judgments you make in life, none is as important as the one you make about yourself. The difference between low self-esteem and high self-esteem is the difference between passivity and action, between failure and success.
