Good is Better than Perfect

Sometimes good is better than perfect. To the extent that waiting on the one perfect moment means
missing lots of very good moments, perfectionism is highly overrated. Be the best parent, spouse, friend,
businessperson and human being that you can be. Strike a balance and keep moving rather than
spending your life in a "not quite good enough" frame of mind.

Labeling

Labeling is irrational. The habit of labeling a whole based on one part is the root of much
disappointment and misunderstanding. Before you attach a negative label to yourself or someone else,
remember that a bad apple doesn’t have to ruin the whole bunch. Similarly, a person with a bad attitude
isn’t necessarily a bad person; a failed attempt to implement an idea doesn’t mean the idea is
worthless.

Tell Others

The greatest weakness of most humans is their hesitancy to tell others how much they love them while they're alive.

We have no choice of what color we're born or who our parents are or whether we're rich or poor. What we do have is some choice over what we make of our lives once we're here.

The Higher Power

There is an innocence within me that already knows how to trust my Higher Power, to cherish life while holding it lightly, to live fully and simply in the present moment. I will allow that part of myself to come forward and nourish me as I continue on this journey.

Season

When people come into your life for a SEASON . . .Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

The Beginning of A New Life

There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep
in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world; it’s the beginning of a new life.

Be Yourself

Accept yourself as being imperfect, but not unlovable, for your strengths far exceed any weakness. Embrace the goodness in you; there is more there than you acknowledge. You are a part of the universe, not by accident but by design. You have a special place and purpose. Trust in it. There’s a star in the sky with your name on it. Claim that star and let it shine

Don't Be Afraid

Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones tend to take care of themselves.

There Are No Guarantees

It is human nature to want to know what the results of our efforts will be before we put the energy into them. Like it is comforting to know that our money will yield a positive return before we invest it. Changing our lives is no different. We want to know that if we choose to unlock the prison door of our life and walk into the light that our life will be exactly as we imagined it. But in life there are no guarantees.

You cannot know at anytime in your life what is going to happen next. Sports stars have high hopes of going far in their careers only to have their dreams cut short in a matter of seconds. And many a person started an ordinary day not knowing that it would be their last. I am willing to bet that each one of you could not have predicted your current circumstances; your job, relationship, home location, etc……, I know that I couldn’t.

shall your inner light radiate forth, spreading warmth and beauty wherever you go.

The Meaning of Your Life

Re-evaluate the meaning of your life. Tough times present hard but valuable lessons that force us to re-evaluate the meanings we’ve been attaching to our lives. Ask yourself: "Do the meanings and goals I’ve been living by before the crisis really worthwhile? Through this crisis, what are the things that I’ve found to be really important? Motivation

“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” – Jim Rohn

Motivation ebbs and flows. When I started blogging, the first few months were easy, but then I started bumping into periods of low energy. Habit and a focus on helping people is what kept me going. I constantly reminded myself that this was what I wanted to do.

Don't Be Trapped

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma ––
which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions
drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and
intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is
secondary.

Self Confidence

Build Your Self confidence. Think about what you know, what you can do, and what you have
accomplished, rather than fixating on how you look, sound, or dress. Keep in mind that everyone,
even beautiful people has something about themselves or their life that they don't like. This will
help you in overcoming shyness.

Love, This Is My Song by Kaoru

Learn to Be Optomistic

Learn to be Optimistic. Many shy people tend to have a gloomy or negative outlook on life or
certain areas of it. Perhaps you feel okay about work, but have a bad view of relationships. Maybe
you tend to badmouth those who are happier or more successful than you. Whatever your
pessimism, carrying around that gray cloud of negativity really hurts your self-esteem. Learn to let
all of that go and be more optimistic. You’ll soon find that when you view others and the world in
a more positive light, your self-esteem will begin to rise.

Comparing Yourself to Yourself

Instead of comparing yourself to other people create the habit of comparing yourself to yourself.
See how much you have grown, what you have achieved and what progress you have made
towards your goals. This habit has the benefit of creating gratitude, appreciation and kindness
towards yourself as you observe how far you have come, the obstacles you have overcome and
the good stuff you have done. You feel good about yourself without having to think less of other
people.

What You Allow

What you allow into your mind will have a big effect on you. So be selective. If you’re hanging out with negative people all the time then that can really drag you down. It’s not easy to stay optimistic when pessimism is the default mode in your world. You can for instance replace watching the news in the morning with listening to personal development video on youtube, watching something fun or just having a good conversation with someone that positive, funny or enthusiastic.

Limitless Power

A great human revolution in the life of one person can change the destiny of humankind and our planet. It is Buddhism, the Lotus Sutra, that encourages and enables people to become aware of their great power, to draw it forth and use it. Buddhism gives people the means to develop themselves thoroughly and opens their eyes to the limitless power inherent in their lives.

Conquer Your Daily Fears

He who is not everyday conquering some fear has not learned the secret of life. Life is a battlefield; to succeed you must "divide and conquer." Conquer your fears daily; stretch yourself daily. Do something you don’’t want to do, something you’’re afraid of doing because you might get rejected or you might fail. Do that thing today, and then conquer another fear tomorrow. If you can create the habit of conquering your fear, you can move from the land of impossibilities to the land of possibilities.

My Comfort Zone - A Poem

My Comfort Zone - A Poem
Author Unknown

I used to have a comfort zone where I knew I wouldn't fail. The same four walls and busywork were really more like jail. I longed so much to do the things I'd never done before, But stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old floor.

I said it didn't matter that I wasn't doing much. I said I didn't care for things like commission checks and such. I claimed to be so busy with the things inside the zone, But deep inside I longed for something special of my own.

I couldn't let my life go by just watching others win. I held my breath; I stepped outside and let the change begin. I took a step and with new strength I'd never felt before, I kissed my comfort zone goodbye and closed and locked the door.

If you're in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out, Remember that all winners were at one time filled with doubt. A step or two and words of praise can make your dreams come true. Reach for your future with a smile; success is there for you!

Validation

Lose the Negative Attitude

Negative thinking creates negative results. Positive thinking creates positive results. Period.
Every one of the other suggestions in this article is irrelevant if your mind is stuck in the gutter. Positive thinking is at the forefront of every great success story. The mind must believe it can do something before it is capable of actually doing it.

Free the Gaps of Time

Think about those times when you are in an elevator, sitting in traffic, surfing the Internet. Or the Saturday when rain interrupts your plans for the day. These unallocated, free gaps of time could be spent creating small ripples of positive thought and action that add up to huge waves of good karma.

This may change your life

Practice Acts of Kindness

Performing an act of kindness releases serotonin in your brain. (Serotonin is a substance that has TREMENDOUS health benefits, including making us feel more blissful.) Selflessly helping someone is a super powerful way to feel good inside. What’s even cooler about this kindness kick is that not only will you feel better, but so will people watching the act of kindness. How extraordinary is that? Bystanders will be blessed with a release of serotonin just by watching what’s going on. A side note is that the job of most anti-depressants is to release more serotonin.

Create productivity triggers for yourself.
forming diligent habits is hard. You need to create triggers to help you out. A simple example
would be packing your gym bag the night before to keep you from having an excuse not to go to

leave the house without seeing them and remembering they need to be returned.

You Are Better than You Think

We continuously don’t give ourselves enough credit for our talents and abilities. What we create might only be 80% in our minds but may be 110% to other people. Don’t let those limiting beliefs hold you back. Belief and confidence will carry you to where you want to go.

Open Up (No Matter What’s Inside)

Flowers bloom regardless of the looks of their faces, no matter their true colors. Although the faces that flowers display are physical and visual only, every human being owes it to oneself to open up and fully embrace one’’s uniqueness —— to accept, appreciate, and maximize who you are on the inside.

Mission Statement

Just like a mission statement for a business, allow your mission to grow and change as you evolve with each passing year.

Don't Be Afraid

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.

Action

"Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you."

Thomas Jefferson

Look At Yourself & Not the Situation

Instead of looking at situations, look at yourself and you will progress.

When something goes wrong, check your thoughts. See if you are blaming the situation or if you are looking at yourself and checking if you have gone wrong in any way. Each day pick out at least one thing that went wrong and take the lesson from it so that you could use it for the future. In this way, whatever happens you will be able to see yourself and progress instead of blaming the situation.

Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.

Why I Care . . . By Kaoru

Being Yourself

Being yourself. Never forget who you are and where you came from. If being in control of yourself has always been your mantra and stronghold, get yourself back to where you came from with the past four steps. It’s important to see yourself for who you are than to think that the one in control isn’t you. You’re always in control of your own destiny, so sister, keep it up!

Words

Throughout human history, our greatest leaders and thinkers have used the power of words to transform our emotions, to enlist us in their causes, and to shape the course of destiny. Words can not only create emotions, they create actions. And from our actions flow the results of our lives.
