Focus On The First Step

I don't 'feel' like it", is a common chant we often say to ourselves or to others when we're tired,
not in the mood, or simply procrastinating. The next time you're not feeling "in the mood", either
change your thinking or simply say to your mind, "thank you for sharing". Then focus on only
taking the very first step to get started, then take another, and another. One step at a time until the
law of momentum kicks in. By then, chances are you'll forget all about not being "in the mood",
and will be well on your way to completing whatever it was you needed to do...and feeling great
about it!

Refuse to play the "Blame Game." Often people stay stuck in "what ifs" because they can not let themselves "off the hook." They see even their present difficulties such as misbehaved children or being suddenly unemployed as further evidence that they are to blame for all their misfortunes! They think "If only I had…………then this would not have happened"" As the bestselling book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" by Harold Kushner emphasizes, the world is not always fair and sometimes really good people get real bad breaks just because life is not often fair, not because you deserve it.

Take Responsibility for Your Happiness

Happy people know and understand that they are 100% responsible for their life. They take responsibility for their moods, attitude, thoughts, feelings, actions and words. They are the first to admit when they’’ve made a mistake.

Begin today by taking responsibility for your happiness. Work on developing these habits as you own. The more you incorporate the above habits into your daily lifestyle –– the happier you will be.

If Onlys

Realize that to be steeped in "if onlys" is to be stuck with unproductive regret. Regrets can be productive if you learn and grow from them. Differentiate between productive and unproductive regret. Unproductive regret keeps you focused on how the past would have been better, and productive regret helps you make better decisions and choices now as you immerse yourself in the present and look towards the future.

Give People Motivation

With sustained joy and by virtue of the Law of Attraction, you attract the vibrational match of the same in your desired outcomes.

Smile at least 10 times a day and start to count that. Smiling is a sign of honesty and power. Everybody can cry over a disaster but only the most powerful can take bitterness with a smile. Exercise that power. And then try to go for 20 times a day.

Be Grateful for Something

Be Grateful For Something 5 Minutes. Point your mind to something you’re really grateful for and stay there. Might be your family, your wealth, your health or just your present moment. Feel grateful for it. There’’s nobody between you and that thing, there’s nobody watching or listening. You’re free to feel grateful
and happy. And then start your day as usual. It’s only 5 minutes, yet the impact of such a day starter is overwhelming.

Writing Goals

Mornings are very good for writing goals. I especially like that time of the day for writing goals because I have very few interference from the outside world. Which makes me much more authentic. I value more the goals written in the morning because I am less influenced.

Get Rid of Labels

Get Rid Of Labels. Things are what they are. Don’t use labels anymore, use directly the things. Your notion of "right" and "wrong" are nothing but labels. In a different country your "right" might be "wrong". Don’t charge yourself with this unneeded burden.

Dreams Can Only Be Important If . . .

Your dreams can only be important if you make them important - keeping in mind that your brain only thinks something is important if you think about it very often. By habit, people usually only think about problems and potential problems often which only leads to more problems and suffering. The ticket out is to switch what you spend the majority of time thinking about from backward and negative to forward and positive.

Being Negative

When you find yourself being negative, question what you've just said, (or in the case of negative self talk what you have just told yourself). Ask yourself if it is really true that nobody likes you for example or that you have no friends, whatever it is question it and ask yourself to justify your statement. You'll see its not truth but a distorted negative view.
