Better Being

Be a better being in this world. How can you make the world a better place? Start doing that today.

Living Authentically

Living authentically is not always easy. It can be hard work, but the rewards are worth the effort. It requires the courage to ask yourself the hard questions and be completely honest with yourself about what is truly important to you in life and how you can live your Highest Good. It's following your heart's wisdom, living your Truth, and being real in every sense. When you are living an authentic life, you are contributing your soulful nature and gifts to the world and, thus, creating a better, more authentic and soulful life experience for us all.

May peace and joy be yours, as you discover and honor your authentic self.

Words by Kaoru

Accepting of Differences

Be Accepting of differences – be it different people, different thinking, different lifestyles, different cultures. For they add variety and color into our lives. If everyone is the same, life will be bland – monotonous, even.

Life Has No Smooth Road

Life has no smooth road for any of us; and in the bracing atmosphere of a high aim the very roughness stimulates the climber to steadier steps 'til the legend, "over steep ways to the stars," fulfills self.

Keep On Saying . . .

If you keep on saying things are going to be bad, you have a good chance it will be.

Your self-image is yours alone. Decide how you wish to see yourself, and let that be your self-
image. Then start living that image, because that is who you are and who you want to be.

Focus On The First Step

I don't 'feel' like it", is a common chant we often say to ourselves or to others when we're tired,
not in the mood, or simply procrastinating. The next time you're not feeling "in the mood", either
change your thinking or simply say to your mind, "thank you for sharing". Then focus on only
taking the very first step to get started, then take another, and another. One step at a time until the
law of momentum kicks in. By then, chances are you'll forget all about not being "in the mood",
and will be well on your way to completing whatever it was you needed to do...and feeling great
about it!

You're Doing Everything Right and Still Can't Win

When you're doing everything right and still can't win, be patient. No matter how good we are or
how hard we struggle to make the right decisions, life often makes us wait.

Two Simple Phrases

Say “Please” and “Thank you.” –– These two simple phrases make demands sound like requests, and they inject a friendly tone into serious conversations. Using them can mean the difference between sounding rude and sounding genuinely grateful.

Challenge People

Challenge people. Many of us have had teachers who at times seemed more like tormentors than mentors. They challenged us to do our best, and we were better for it. Practice "carefrontation" — the careful and caring confrontation of others.

When you are inspired by some great purpose,
some extraordinary project,
all your thoughts break their bonds:
Your mind transcends limitations,
Your consciousness expands in every direction,
and you find yourself in a new,
great, and wonderful world.
Dormant forces,
faculties and talents become alive,
and you discover yourself to be a greater
person by far than you ever
dreamed yourself to be.

Change Your Thoughts and You Change Your World by KAORU

Everyday I lift myself up and go! Consciously I drum up all my POSITIVE energy and thoughts and carry on . . . I move forward gracefully, freely and lightly with my life, work, visions, creations, goals and dreams. I depend on ME, my own determination, self-motivation and self-love. I am my own ROCK. I am my own POWER. I am IT. Obstacles are the challenges that make me stronger and wiser.

Attachment is the source of unhappiness and disappointment. Knowing this I live with the notion that “this too shall pass,” good and bad.

A Beautiful Day

Wishing you a beautiful day, my friends with lots of happiness without end and even though we are far apart You are a good friend to me. May many blessings come your way
and may you always walk in joy. Peace and Happiness, Kaoru

A Hard Teacher

Experience is a hard teacher because it gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.

Discharging Sadness Releases the Energy

Our sadness is an energy we discharge in order to heal. Sadness is painful. We try to avoid it. Actually discharging sadness releases the energy involved in our emotional pain. To hold it in is to freeze the pain within us.

Paint Success

When you paint success pictures in your mind, you initiate an inner process whereby your attitudes, hopes, aspirations, and enthusiasm are elevated in response to an image of a more promising future. People who aspire must first sell themselves hope, the promise of a better life.

Necessary Changes

What steps are you willing to take to make necessary changes happen as you transition through this life in which we have been given? Just how far are you willing to go to be the best that you can be? Have you found your "path?" How do you know its "your path?" Are there verifiable signs, if so what are they? Hard Questions? Let me hear from you!

The Blame Game

Refuse to play the "Blame Game." Often people stay stuck in "what ifs" because they can not let themselves "off the hook." They see even their present difficulties such as misbehaved children or being suddenly unemployed as further evidence that they are to blame for all their misfortunes! They think "If only I had…………then this would not have happened"" As the bestselling book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" by Harold Kushner emphasizes, the world is not always fair and sometimes really good people get real bad breaks just because life is not often fair, not because you deserve it.

Take Responsibility for Your Happiness

Happy people know and understand that they are 100% responsible for their life. They take responsibility for their moods, attitude, thoughts, feelings, actions and words. They are the first to admit when they’’ve made a mistake.

Begin today by taking responsibility for your happiness. Work on developing these habits as you own. The more you incorporate the above habits into your daily lifestyle –– the happier you will be.

If Onlys

Realize that to be steeped in "if onlys" is to be stuck with unproductive regret. Regrets can be productive if you learn and grow from them. Differentiate between productive and unproductive regret. Unproductive regret keeps you focused on how the past would have been better, and productive regret helps you make better decisions and choices now as you immerse yourself in the present and look towards the future.

A Big Smile

A smile is a way of writing your thoughts on your face, telling others that they are accepted, liked and appreciated. So here's a big smile just for you.

Give People Motivation

Motivation disappears when we start seeing ourselves as ‘ordinary’. We begin to see every day as a routine, cooking, laundry, cleaning, working –– everything starts looking monotonous after a while. Yes, variety is the spice of life and who says we should not live a spicy life? Get inspired to get motivated. Think of ways you can sketch your day in a more colorful way, take a break from what you do continuously and thank your Higher Power for not giving you what you never wanted, be a giver rather than taker and if you can’t give anything else, give people motivation, love and peace.

Between a 100,000 yesterdays and a 100,000 tomorrows, there is only one today and I would not let this pass without saying thanks to all my followes.

To Be Disturbed

Any person capable of angering you becomes your master; he can anger you only when you permit yourself to be disturbed by him.

True Greatness to Life

Pour the fullness of your love and positive purpose into each little moment. By calmly and positively living a moment at a time, you'll bring your true greatness to life.

Educate Yourself

To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kind that will stand behind the action. Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course. Everything originates in a will for the good, which is directed at you. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude.

Wishing For Others

Wishing for others doesn't cost anything. What is needed is just the willingness to make a difference in others' lives and help them feel better and happy. We wish for ourselves countless times a day. But if we wish for others just once then a big difference can be made in others' lives.

To Understand and Be Understood

Ralph Nichols once said, "The most basic of all human needs is the need to understand and be understood. The best way to understand people is to listen to them." Simply put, if one person dominates the conversation, how can that person truly understand the other person? Communication is a continuous process, not a "your turn, my turn" game.

Push Your Negativity Aside

Push out all feelings that aren't positive. Don't let negative thoughts and feelings overwhelm you when you're feeling down. Even if it's only for a few hours a day, push your negativity aside and only focus on the good things in your life.

Practice Gratitude

Choose to look for the good news rather than the negative ones. Also choose to look at life half-full instead of half empty. Practice gratitude.

Shift Into Delight, Bliss and Joy

If you want to experience more magic in your life, then you will need to infuse your moments with joy. Just think about what usually happens when magic takes place. We hold back our breaths and as we witness the transformation that magic brings, we shift into delight, bliss and joy.

Infusing joy can be made in a variety of ways such as singing out loud, saying yes to a new adventure and dancing on the streets. The idea is to capture the positive feelings of bliss and joy. With sustained joy and by virtue of the Law of Attraction, you attract the vibrational match of the same in your desired outcomes.

Smile at least 10 times a day and start to count that. Smiling is a sign of honesty and power. Everybody can cry over a disaster but only the most powerful can take bitterness with a smile. Exercise that power. And then try to go for 20 times a day.

Be Grateful for Something

Be Grateful For Something 5 Minutes. Point your mind to something you’re really grateful for and stay there. Might be your family, your wealth, your health or just your present moment. Feel grateful for it. There’’s nobody between you and that thing, there’s nobody watching or listening. You’re free to feel grateful
and happy. And then start your day as usual. It’s only 5 minutes, yet the impact of such a day starter is overwhelming.

Writing Goals

Mornings are very good for writing goals. I especially like that time of the day for writing goals because I have very few interference from the outside world. Which makes me much more authentic. I value more the goals written in the morning because I am less influenced.

Get Rid of Labels

Get Rid Of Labels. Things are what they are. Don’t use labels anymore, use directly the things. Your notion of "right" and "wrong" are nothing but labels. In a different country your "right" might be "wrong". Don’t charge yourself with this unneeded burden.

The Golden Rule

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," or, in the negative form, "do not do to others what you would not have them do to you." This simple moral maxim of live and let live, the essential basis of good will in relations among and between men, in both its positive and negative forms, is called the Golden Rule. It can be traced to the origins of ethical thought in many different cultures, and can be regarded as the most basic rule governing social relationships between equals. It is a rule requiring equal treatment, fairness, a single standard applied to all alike, quid pro quo, something for something, an equal exchange, mutual respect of rights, and reciprocity. Its mutuality means that it is shared in common, granted by all to all. Its reciprocity means that it is returned. The treatment you give to others is returned by others giving the same treatment to you.

We Are Gifted

A Simple Smile

A simple smile from a stranger can light up your entire day. Laughing makes your worries disappear. Make it a habit to laugh and smile as much as you can, because life is just so much better when you do. Positivity is contagious, and you’ll find that people will like you a whole lot more if you’re always happy compared to being grouchy and cynical.

Count Your Blessings

Make a choice to focus on every good and perfect thing in any and every situation. Count your blessings, not your curses. The good news is that in the end, you’ll look back and realize that even the curses were blessings in disguise.

The Truth About You

When you feel weak, the truth about you is you are stronger than you think. Remember the times when you had to lift yourself back up, the battles you have fought, and the struggles you have endured to be here today. When you allow the truth to move from your head to your heart then the enemy of your soul doesn’t stand a chance –– not one single chance. Whenever you are ready, you can reclaim what has been taken. Listen to the truth. Take it in. Feel it. And then believe the beautiful truth about you.

Dreams Can Only Be Important If . . .

Your dreams can only be important if you make them important - keeping in mind that your brain only thinks something is important if you think about it very often. By habit, people usually only think about problems and potential problems often which only leads to more problems and suffering. The ticket out is to switch what you spend the majority of time thinking about from backward and negative to forward and positive.

Being Negative

When you find yourself being negative, question what you've just said, (or in the case of negative self talk what you have just told yourself). Ask yourself if it is really true that nobody likes you for example or that you have no friends, whatever it is question it and ask yourself to justify your statement. You'll see its not truth but a distorted negative view.

Continued Growth

The changes you are experiencing are not always comfortable, but they are necessary for your continued growth . . .

Just imagine if we all spoke our minds. We would know that the people who love us, love us for who we really are.

Feeling Loved . . .

Feeling loved makes us feel good. Who doesn’t feel a bit better about ourselves and our day when somebody tells us they love us? Don’t just leave it as an unspoken assumption. Tell your loved ones that you love them. It will make their day, and you’ll feel better for it to!

Life is Too Short by Kaoru

Looking At the Bright Side Of Things . . .

Looking on the bright side of things is a strategy that has been used for centuries. Is the glass half empty of half full? Becoming an optimist is a personal decision and one that has profound ramifications on how we see the world. If we think positively about ourselves, about others, and about the world around us, the world often meets our expectations.

I Wish You Sunshine . . .

I wish you sunshine on your path and storms to season your journey. I wish you peace in the world in which you live. More I cannot wish you except perhaps love to make all the rest worthwhile.

24 Golden Hours

Every morning you are handed 24 golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you couldn’t buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless treasure? Remember, you must use it, as it is given only once. Once wasted you cannot get it back.

Steven Sharp Nelson - Moonlight - Electric Cello (Inspired by Beethoven)

Loving the Unlovable

To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless.

Words and Actions

There's great beauty in simplicity. It's not plainness, however it is plain in the sense that words and actions are enacted with great royalty, full awareness and with so much significance. Simplicity takes us away from artificialities, it simply accepts and in that acceptance shows us grace and humility in every circumstance.
When your heart is open and clean, you will be humble.

Humility needs a good home to dwell in. When the mind is filled with negative feelings or biased ideas towards anyone, you cannot use your humility. So fill your mind with positive thoughts towards everyone. If you have negative thoughts towards anyone, make an attempt to remove them. Tell yourself that you don't like one particular aspect in that person and not the person himself. In this way you will help the other person also to bring about change.

- Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

Defining Moments

Our lives is a series of defining moments, strung together by passing time. Surrender fully to this moment, because it is not the moment itself that defines us, but how we choose to live in it.

Live the Life YOU Want!

Live the life you want, not the one that others expect you to. People –– specifically your family and friends –– generally expect great things from you when they believe in your potential. And they should. But make sure to expect the same from yourself. Don’t simply be great because others want you to. Be great because YOU want to! Because you can’t see yourself living any other life than your own.

I Give Thanks . . .

Today, I give thanks from the depth of my grateful heart for all the blessings that has been bestowed upon me. I give thanks for the food which will grace my table, the roof which covers my head and the clothing I have to dress in. I give thanks for the privilege of living in a country which respects freedom and a person’s right to worship and speak as they choose. I give thanks for my family, friends and to everyone I meet on my path, who has touched my life with and helped me become a better person. But what I’m most grateful for is the gift to love one another as brothers and sisters, as equals without prejudice. This is what I’m most grateful for on this Thanksgiving Day! Peace and Happiness, to all My Brothers and Sister across the globe. Love and Light, Kaoru.

Why I Care . . . By Kaoru

Living A Good Life is the Best Way Possible to Convince People

Enough words and enough arguing. Just live by example and soon you’ll have people on your side when they see your results and how passionate you are. No need to "convince" them. Just show them that you are there, tell them how you got there, and they will start to realize that maybe you aren’t that crazy after all.

Life is Made Up of . . .

The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions-the little soon forgotten charities of a kiss or
smile, a kind look, and a heartfelt compliment, and the countless infinitesimals of pleasurable and
genial feeling.

Power in Understand

Lie on a remote beach under the night sky, look at the curvature of the earth and gaze with wonder at the stars. Spend time appreciating and understanding just how small you really are. This will help you to know that you are not the center of the Universe, yet still a very important, miraculous part of it. There is power in understanding how small you really are.

What Will Your Attitude Be?

Attitude is essentially a blend of perceptions, thoughts and feelings about anyone or anything. It is influenced by memories, past experiences and beliefs. Although we may not notice, our attitude sits at the heart of all that we say and do. It's our attitude that reflects back to us in our relationships and it's our attitude that can rub off onto others. So, it makes obvious sense to hold a positive attitude at all times in all situations. Today, what will your attitude be?

Find People You Love

Find people you love . . . and I would say loving all the people around us regardless of whether we know them in person or not.

Being Open and Learning to Love

Being open and learning to love ourselves and each other with kindness, compassion and gratitude, as well as adopting healthy new habits that support our ability to be authentically happy on a core level, enables us to feel a sense of inner peace and well being. It also enables us to regain something that many of us have seemingly lost — our sense of "connection". Ultimately, that making the world a better place for all of us.

Define Your Choices

Define Your Choices. What do you need to do in order to clearly understand all the options you have? Think outside of the box for options that may not be obvious. "If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise."

What Next Action Step Can You Take

There is only one way to learn, and that is through action. Trying to learn without doing is like trying to lose weight by watching someone else exercise. It’s just not going to work. We are all fundamentally hands-on learners. Question: What would you like to learn? What next action step can you take?

Miracles rest not so much upon healing power coming suddenly near us from afar, but upon our perceptions being made finer, so that for the moment our eyes can see and our ears can hear what has been there around us always.
