Influence Your Life

You can vitally influence your life from within by auto-suggestion. The first thing each morning, and the last thing each night, suggest to yourself specific ideas that you wish to embody in your character and personality. Address such suggestions to yourself, silently or aloud, until they are deeply impressed upon your mind.

Gifts of Gratitude

What Do You Think

If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't!
If you'd like to win, but you think you can't,
It's almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost;
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind!

If you think you're outclassed, you are;
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself
Before you 'll ever win the prize.

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the person who thinks he can!

Peace begins with Me

Peace begins with me
Starting over and breaking free.

Peace begins with me
Opening my eyes and beginning to see.

Peace begins with me
Curious about what I am going to be.

Peace begins with me
Knowing I no longer have to flee.

Peace begins with me
Having self dignity.

Peace begins with me
Taking on more responsibility.

Peace begins with me
Because peace is being happy.

And this is why peace begins with me!

Do Less

Do less thinking,
and pay more attention to your heart.

Do less acquiring,
and pay more attention to what you already have.

Do less complaining,
and pay more attention to giving.

Do less controlling,
and pay more attention to letting go.

Do less criticizing,
and pay more attention to complimenting.

Do less arguing,
and pay more attention to forgiveness.

Do less running around,
and pay more attention to stillness.

Do less talking,
and pay more attention to silence.

Teach Love

Teach love to those who hate, and let that love embrace you as you go out into the world. May the teachings of those you admire become part of you, so that you may call upon them. Remember, those lives you have touched and whose have touched yours are always a part of you, even if the encounters were less than you would have wished. It is the content of the encounter that is more important than the form.

Reach

A goal is not always meant to be reached; it often serves simply as something to aim at.

- Bruce Lee

Everything Will Fall into Place

Do not feel like all your efforts are going completely unnoticed. It seems like every stride you make leads to you being even more ignored. This has got you feeling quite disappointed and hurt. You are pushed to the extent of going overboard in order to receive attention. Do not allow yourself to be distracted by the lack of acknowledgement. Remember that your self worth is not determined by the amount of praise that other people heap on your head. The most important thing you can do is to keep on doing your best and maintain a clear conscience. Everything else will eventually fall into place. Go about your day without worrying about who is watching you.

The Journey

I had to go a wandering
Leave everything behind me
I had to find the reason for my life
I had to go a seeking
and tracing ancient pathways
my lonely journey cut me like a knife.

I had to scale the mountains
of passion and possessions
I had to trawl the grave of poverty
but still my soul was urging me
to keep upon that pathway
the only one to set my spirit free

I could not look to others
To help me on my journey
The task was mine and mine alone
So many nights in torment
So many painful daybreaks
SO many times I cried out
To go home……

But now I have a new song
A different new perspective
A blessed new awareness of my role
It’s been a long hard journey
From that aching inner yearning
But not too long to go now…….
Until I am home!

Transform Fear Through Core Issue Work

Most of us have one or more core issues or challenges which surface repeatedly over the course of our lives. These issues are usually rooted in deep unexpressed fears. Depending on your perspective, core issues either cause all sorts of problems, or present many opportunities for transformation. When you choose to look at core issues as an opportunity, you are much more likely to transform your fears into learning tools which lead to a better life. Below are the most common core issues, their related fears, and suggestions for dealing with them.

Abandonment – Nobody cares about me. I'm all alone. I don't matter.
Arrogance – I'm better than all of you. I'm too much. I'm right and you're wrong.

This Day is all that is Good and Fair

Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays.

One Wish

If you were granted one wish, and only one, what would it be? Of all things...wealth, power, wisdom, love, liberty...what would you choose? This may seem fanciful; not so, IT IS REALITY. What you choose to think about, to concentrate on with all your mental power, will, indeed, become a reality. So choose carefully.

If you think you dare not, you don't.

For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will.
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you are out classed, you are.
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of your-self before
You can ever win the prize.

Is the man who thinks he can.

My Reason for Being

I do hereby declare that I am here on this Earth to fulfill the following:

To radiate light and love as I move through my life, and to walk in the shadows peacefully and with acceptance
To impart beauty in all of its many manifestations
To inspire gentle healing for all life forms
To strive for spiritual, emotional, and intellectual balance in my own life and with those around me
To seek the good for all in my dealings with others

For Myself, I want the following:

Exquisite peace
Sweet intensity
Overflowing joy
Boundless love
Constant connection with the Universal Energy

Gregg Pritchard - Nessun Dorma - Britains Got Talent 2009 Ep 5

What is the difference between right and wrong?

I think the majority of people feel that the difference between right wrong stems from the Bible i.e. good & evil.

Most people say that the difference between right and wrong is how you as a person feel in the end, happy/sad, good/bad.

But you must also ask yourself how many people feel bad about doing something wrong if they do not get caught. Or even better how many people would do the wrong thing knowing that they will not be found out.

I guess you would just have to ask yourself how u would want to be treated if u were in a similar situation. For if you feel that that is the right way to handle certain situations, than it must be right, right. For no one actually knows that they are doing wrong until someone points it out to them and then tells them that it shouldn't be done that way. Doing it still after you know the difference this will then be wrong.

This also brings the perception of right and wrong of the society we live/grew up in. I.E. the people pointing out that what you are doing is wrong. Therefore, it can be determined by your own beliefs as a person, your peers/society, or your religious beliefs.

How to Become a Better Person

All of us want to live with freedom, with joy and love and can solve easily all the problems. This is the stage of become light (like angel). So how can we do this?

Stop being angry. Don’t be suppressed, but don’t express anger. Both ways bring you heavy outcomes. Just be assertive.

Bathe. You can remove all the dust, and negative vibrations through this way.

Breathe in and out deeply while imagining you are letting the new energy come into you, and all the heaviness, tiredness go out.

Play a lot of positive thoughts in your mind. Then you will see your positive life go out!

Always keep zeal and enthusiasm for yourself. This will make you have flying stage.
Meditate, or use relaxation techniques.

Help others.

Be aware. Have awareness about what you attain. If you have this awareness, how can you feel stress, heavy about life any more?

Eat in the right way. Do not eat too much and also choose to eat right things when you do eat. For example: Meat and fish can cause your digestive system to work too hard and become tired. Instead of that, choose food like tofu, beans - in fact, these bring much more protein and less toxins into your system.

Sing! Laugh! Be humourous! Do something that makes your heart happy and makes you feel like dancing.

Mother's Day brings to mind
The thousands of things you did for me
that helped make me happier,
stronger and wiser,
because I had you as a role model.

I'm grateful for all the times
you healed my hurts
and calmed my fears,
so that I could face the world
feeling safe and secure.

I'm thankful for all you showed me
about how to love and give--
lessons that now bring
so many blessings to me
each and every day.

Your sacrifices and unselfishness
did not go unnoticed, Mom.
I admire you, I respect you,
I love you.
And I'm so glad you're my mother!

Happy Mother's Day!

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry.
Two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is yesterday with its mistakes and cares,
its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.
Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday.
We cannot undo a single act we performed.
We cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone.
The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow.
With its possible adversities, its burdens,
its large promise and poor performance.
Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.
Tomorrow's Sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds,
but it will rise.
Until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.
This just leaves only one day . . . Today.
Any person can fight the battles of just one day.
It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities -
yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.
It is not the experience of today that drives people mad.
It is the remorse or bitterness for something which happened yesterday
and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore live but one day at a time.

Character

CHARACTER is the result of hundreds and hundreds of choices you make that gradually turn who you are, at any given moment, into who you want to be. If that decision-making process is not present, you will still be somebody. You will still be alive, but may have a personality rather than a character.

CHARACTER is not something you were born with and can't change like your fingerprint. In fact, because you weren't born with it, it is something that you must take responsibility for creating. I don't believe that adversity by itself builds character and I certainly don't think that success erodes it. Character is built by how you respond to what happens in your life. Whether it's winning every game or losing every game. Getting rich or dealing with hard times. You build character out of certain qualities that you must create and diligently nurture within yourself.

CHARACTER sustains itself and nurtures itself even as it is being put to work, tested, and challenged. And once character is formed, it will serve as a solid, lasting foundation upon which to build the life you desire.

To Your Success,

Soul Mantra

To Let Go

Does not mean to stop caring, it means you can't do it for someone else.
Does not mean to cut yourself off, it is the realization that you can't do it for someone else.
Does not mean to care for, it means to care about.
Does not mean to fix, it means to be supportive.
Does not mean to change another, it means to make the most of yourself.
Does not mean to deny, it means to accept.
Does not mean to nag or scold, it means to listen.
Does not mean to regret the past, it is to live for the future.
It means that we should admit we are frequently powerless and that someone else's outcome may not be in our hands.

There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow. Orison Marden

Important Question

During my second month of nursing school, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one: 'What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. Absolutely, said the professor. "In your careers you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello". I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.
