You try hard to let go... And it backfires. The more you repeat: I want to let go, the more you hang on to your fears and emotions.
Inner peace is not about forcing yourself to be what you are not.
Inner peace stems from a sense of knowing who you really are:
You have asked yourself the difficult questions.
You have listened to your own answers, deep inside. You accept them.
This is an effective way of controlling your own happiness.
